Message from the Dean of Medicine Faculty!
I am happy to be one of the founders of an academic institution that currently has a good place in the academic community of our dear country.
The Faculty of Medical Medicine of Mawlana University, based on Decree No. (152/57) dated 1392/1/10, the respected official of the Ministry of Higher Education of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, started its activities and from the beginning of its establishment and the first days of its activity, with the direct cooperation of the university leadership and distinguished professors, it made an effort to provide better academic services for medical students, to carry out their assigned duties in a good manner and a good manner, and that was what attracted the attention of the people and our informed society and attracted the dear youth of the country from the provinces. He has kept different people together as a single family with complete empathy and unity. The Faculty of Medicine has a graduate program called the Department of Therapeutic Medicine.
The Medical Department of Mawlana Jalaluddin Mohammad Balkhi University Faculty of Medicine was established in 2012 and during the past years, to provide standard educational services, promote scientific and moral values, and train specialist staff, it has tried to present people with the capacity to the society in the field of medical sciences, especially in the field of medical knowledge.
The coordination of academic activities, especially teaching and training in the Department of Therapeutic Medicine, with the needs of the society or institutions whose workforce is trained by learning the knowledge of therapeutic medicine, is the general and great goal of this department, to present a committed and expert workforce to the society. Achieving this goal is not easy and requires serious activities based on the existing realities of society.
Brief introduction of the Department of Therapeutic Medicine:
The medical department of Mawlana Jalaluddin Muhammad Balkhi University’s Faculty of Medicine, which started its activity at the same time as the establishment of the Faculty of Medicine, has been active for less than a decade.
The purpose of creating this department is to train specialized and committed staff for public and private sectors in various medical fields of our society.
This department currently has thirteen permanent academic staff, all of whom have master’s degrees. In addition, a large number of professors with high academic ranks from the government medical school have a contract with this department every semester.
Currently, the number of students in this department is close to 1217, both male and female, who are engaged in learning medical courses from the first semester to the twelfth semester.
To advance its activities as best as possible, the Department of Therapeutic Medicine has a department assembly and six committees under the titles of quality assurance committee, quorum committee, order and discipline committee, e-learning committee, research committee, and examination committee, whose members are the scientific staff of this department.

The Faculty of Medical Medicine of Mawlana Jalaluddin Muhammad Balkhi University is trying to be a successful and superior faculty at the level of Mawlana Jalaluddin Muhammad Balkhi University and the universities of the country and become a reference institution in the field of medical medicine until 1405. In addition, this faculty is trying to play an effective role in achieving the strategic goals of Mawlana Jalaluddin Mohammad Balkhi University.

Medical course of study:
The study course of therapeutic medicine in the Faculty of Medicine is according to the bill of the credit system of twelve semesters in practical and theoretical form and the duration of the internship period is one year, which includes a total of 266 credits.
After the completion of the mentioned course, the MD certificate will be awarded to the graduates.
Attendance criteria during a semester for each student are 75%, and in case of not completing the mentioned criteria, he/she will be disqualified from the desired subject and the exam will not be taken from him/her in the first chance. If the disqualification of subjects is more than half of the set of credits of the same semester, he is recognized as disqualified for the semester and is obliged to pursue the said semester again.

The definition of the term graduate from medical school
The Department of Medical Medicine of the Faculty of Medicine of Mawlana University, to train specialized and committed young staff in the department of medicine in the framework of Mawlana University, has accepted qualified young people (graduates of the twelfth classes of the country’s high schools), both male and female, after passing the entrance exam in the first semester of PCB according to the curriculum of Kabul Medical University and the Faculty of Medicine of Balkh University.
The routine of the therapeutic medicine program is the credit system, during twelve semesters of common practical and theoretical courses, and after that, for one year, as a doctor intern who spends the practical work of various medical departments in hospitals, and after completing the mentioned program and completing 277 credits, the person who graduates from this program gets the MD certificate and is known as a graduate of the medical department.
