Brief introduction of the English department:
For this reason, in 2011, the English Department was established in the Education Faculty of Mawlana Jalaluddin Mohammad Balkhi University, which had four professors responsible for promoting the teaching of English subjects in the department. This department now has approximately seven (7) professors of the Master of Science who are busy serving the people of the country, and this department has 220 male and female students. This department has a new curriculum and syllabus that have been approved by the respected educational curriculum committee.

Length of a term in the English department:
According to the credit system bill of the Honorable Ministry of Higher Education, a bachelor’s degree course in the humanities requires a minimum of seven semesters and a maximum of twelve semesters. In accordance with this bill, the English Department of Education and Training of Mawlana Jalaluddin Mohammad Balkhi University has defined an academic course as eight semesters and 140 credits; the number of credits in one semester is at least 18 and at most 21 credits.
The average attendance in a course during a semester is 75%, and in the case of more absences, the student will be deprived of the examination of the course in question. Students can be postponed for two semesters in the course of an academic year, and the absence of more than two semesters will cause the student to be dismissed.

Research is one of the main foundations of higher education, and without it, scientific development in society cannot be achieved. Therefore, carrying out scientific research by the students and professors of the English department is one of the important activities of this department.
The professors of the English department, in addition to presenting seminars and scientific articles every semester, oblige the students of this department to carry out research activities so that the research capacity of the students will be strengthened during the academic period and this skill will grow in them.
Holding scientific seminars and discourses on religion, social issues, human rights, etc. is one of the other basic activities of the English department. These seminars are conducted by professors and other scientific figures from the country who are invited by the English Department.
