In the current situation, along with the three basic powers of the legislature, the judiciary, and the executive, as the fourth power, the media has a decisive and key role in the process of informing society and influencing public opinion. To produce and publish fruitful media messages, first of all, professionals in this profession have been needed. The preparations for the formation and launch of this field were made in 2015, at the same time as obtaining the university license, and since then (1400), twelve rounds of students have graduated and presented to the society.
Today, due to the extensive communication and information developments at the national and international level and the need and necessity of benefiting from experts and experts, the Faculty of Journalism has a radio-television department and a well-equipped teaching studio in the radio-television and printing departments, and specialized staffs with high academic degrees teach students in the radio-television department and study communication.
In today’s world, with the presence of advanced and numerous communication technologies, in the process of quickly accessing information and various sources, obtaining reliable and reliable information about the political, social, economic, and security situation, etc. Humanity is very difficult and at the same time very necessary and vital, which is possible with the professional training of a journalist.

This faculty intends to create an academic environment and improve the professional capacity of its academic staff through professors with high academic degrees. Academic Strategy of the Faculty of Journalism:
The Faculty of Journalism of Rumi University is determined to train expert and experienced staff based on the strategy of Rumi University and by using its updated faculty for information, awareness, collective education, and influence on the public opinion of the society. This book aims to familiarize students with the fundamental criteria, basic genres, and modern knowledge of the journalism profession, and to cultivate in them such features as writing taste, critical thinking, and the ability to communicate with different classes of society. In this academic course, students acquire sufficient knowledge about mass communication tools of the modern era and have good working abilities in print, audio, and visual media. Since the Faculty of Journalism has a radio and television course, the training period of this program is four years, which includes eight semesters. Of course, during eight semesters, different topics are taught to students, including specialized, basic, and optional topics. In the 8th semester, the students write a thesis (monograph) with the guidance of the professors and the advice of the department. After the approval of the Dean of the Faculty to enrich the library, it will be sent to the relevant library to appreciate the research work of the students and use it.
